Ting Fiber Network

Overview

The City of Centennial has installed a city-wide fiber network backbone. Private companies then can offer internet services to companies and residents in the city by connecting to the fiber backbone.  Ting is one of the private companies that is connecting to the backbone and now offering service to Heritage Greens residents.  Construction is in progress and is visible throughout the neighborhood.  Ting is utilizing city easements to install the network utilizing our yards.

Ting has provided some details in the below documents:

CONSTRUCTION IMPACTS:
As the construction is completed and spring/summer arrive, there is a possibility of unseen
damage to landscaping or sprinkler systems.  Homeowners should contact Mark
Gotto (mgotto@ting.com) if any issues need to be addressed.  State name, address and phone #
so the contractor can call to set up an appointment date and time. Homeowner may need to be
home to turn on the sprinkler system. Phone contact number is 303 396-8388.

LOCATES:
When construction starts the first process implemented is locating all of the Utilities. This is done through flags and paint. By state law, all utilities need to mark what they have underground. The flags and paint are not where fiber is placed. Fiber will only placed in the 2-6 foot easement. In summary please do not think Ting will be working where the flags and paint are. This is just to locate underground utilities.

SAFETY:
Ting is focused on safety in the neighborhood. You will see cones, fencing, and signage insuring there are no hazards. Please let Ting know if you see any hazards that need addressing.

MAPS / PERMITS / PLOT LINES:
Ting has supplied a map (Ting Design Plan ) of the areas and time frames for construction. You will know what part of the neighborhood and when construction is happening. Ting has posted the permit (Ting Construction Permit) showing city approval to work in the utility easement.

Ting wants to be a partner with our neighborhood. Ting plans to sponsor swim teams and neighborhood events. Ting has agreed to provide free gig internet service to the Clubhouse. Ting is a customer service focused company. Ting will prove it through the construction process.
